Calling All Kids!

Get your hands dirty with gardening activities!

The 2012 MapleFood garden was very productive. The children harvested 1000 lbs of vegetables for our local food pantries! Thanks to all the volunteers, kids, and families who have helped with the process of planting, weeding, watering, and harvesting, weighing and delivering produce to our local pantries. Produce has gone to Our Lady of Sorrows Food Pantry, as well St. Joseph's Food Pantry and Toni's Kitchen, a full-service community kitchen in Montclair, NJ.

The garden has started up for 2013! If you are interested in sharpening your vegetable gardening skills, or just getting you or your kids' hands dirty, stop by on SATURDAY MORNINGS from 9 - 11 a.m. 9 - 10 a.m. includes harvesting, weighing, and packaging produce for the pantries (and for volunteers to take home as well!) and 10 - 11 a.m. is garden maintenance time.

Please RSVP for programs by sending an e-mail to Monika Hannemann. Monika will add you to her
weekly e-mail updates to confirm program participation and details.
