"Growing Tomatoes in the Home Garden"
Peter Nitzsche, Agricultural and Resource Management Agent with Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Morris County, will cover all the basics of growing this delicious New Jersey crop, including starting seeds, soil preparation, selecting varieties, battling common pests, and harvesting and storing the fruit. Mr. Nitzsche conducts research and educational programs in commercial vegetable and small fruit production and marketing, and is also a frequent lecturer on growing small fruits and vegetables in the home garden at Master Gardener classes, as well as at the Rutgers Home Gardeners School.
